So, i got an a71 lcs case, which looked really nice for a good price and it comes with wc water cooler 850 gt. But i saw many people bashing wc kits in general. So i'd like to know which is better: stock cooler or this wc? Btw, the cpu is an i7 4790k

More about : stock cooler bigwater 850

Hmm, i saw people bashing bigwater kits once but they didn't say why. just about the alluminium radiator and copper. But never saw what effects happen because of this. Do you know about these?

Its stock fan can handle your cpu cooling even if at turbo boost but the fan will be noisier and it will not lower you cpu temp at boost, and it shoud be fine since your tower is well ventilated.
Thermaltake watercooling reputation is not so good but i you prefer quite computing and wanna keep you cpu temp at low then I would go also with Bigwater 850, tho a bit hassle in installation.

Abmario, so thermaltake problem is that it doesn't cool well? Or there's something else?

Does it leak easily?

Initially, once liquid cooling was set and liquid flows to cool your cpu... you don't wanna dismantle it again for some reason, it's like cpu cooling is designed to last. So you may wanna choose the kit you want to use.

Getting back to bigwater 840 here are some information that may help you decide:

If you look at the CPU block it is made of copper while the radiator is made of aluminum. Aluminum and Copper in direct contact will produce Galvanic corrosion (dissimilar metal corrosion) which could cause leak after few years, unless you use distilled water mixture with anti-corrosion coolant.

Pump quality and performance, flow rate, loop restriction, loop complexity, etc. Separately sold pump is provided with a flow curve and few details where you can study the performance of the pump (known solid pumps: MCP655 or MCP355).

Not sure about the fittings, reservoir, tubing quality, imo during the operation there will be pressure and high temp flows in these components so good installation is a factor aside from material quality, you don't want to have a leak or air in the loop in just few weeks.

I would go to this if you want more reliable cooling and quite computing, and you don't wanna spent more bucks on cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Thank you so much about this. I guess ill use the integrated wc for about an year and then trade for another and more solid one.
