Im new to this i never had the need to o/c much...i was playing from time to time but when i fry my pc, thankfully until i wipe the bios, i stoped there...now im in kind short on cash so i could like to sqeeze a bit of my pc...

So i have
Amd phenom x4 955 BE currently at 3.8ghz oc
gigabyte ga-ma785gt-ud3h
amd radeon hd 5750 <- this is my biggest problem i know
and a brand new seagate 7200.14 1tb disk sata

so i need some info...btw i had an aftermarket heatsink for my cpu but gpu is stock..
i can't make the cpu go above 3.8 even after playing with the volts...but im not sure i did it correctly..i saw a video of some folk oc his 965 and he raise vram's volts to 1.7v now cpu-z show me 1.47v but 3.8 from 3.2 its decent...

i wanna play a bit with the gpu but i can't make anything from the bios and every time i play with the oc fuctions on amd panel i can't make anything decent from this card...

any help...

btw sorry about my english! :p

Solution
Well sadly the 5750 is not a great overclocker, Ive seen some people reach about 850mhz on the core clock and 1300mhz on the memory. So not a giant overclock but will make a difference.

Also I heard overclocked they actually run quite hot, some people with an overclock of 850mhz got over 90 degrees.
So you could increase the voltage on the card to get maybe 900mhz but you would be heat restricted, and if you brought a water cooler for it you may as well buy a new card. So try get it to around 800mhz at best (that's considered good) and watch your temps.

Sorry couldn't say much more.
