Hi everyone. I have a question that I have not been able to find the answer for. Does anyone know what the difference is between the EVGA GTX 970 SSC versus the EVGA GTX 970 FTW? What does 'SSC' and 'FTW' stand for? Thanks in advance for your answers :)

All I know is the FTW is the most overclocked out-ouf-the-box version, and the SC is overclocked as well but not quite as much.

SSC means Super super clocked and FTW means For The Win

FTW is the maximum clock straight outta the box and SSC is just below that

I would not recommend the Evga 970, it's heard that many ppl get coil whine when over clocked

The SSC is a reference model card with a higher overclock than the SC or reference card. The FTW has an extra VRM and higher grade capacitors for better overclocking, two switchable BIOSes, and a higher out-of-the-box overclock than the SSC or SC models.
