HDD Changed to "Restore disk"

Hello,

Since a week me external hdd (D:)  name changed to "Restore" and changed from 1tb storage to 31.9GB.
My files that i had are not on the HDD in Windows Explorer

You could either reformat the drive to make it readable, or you can download "Partition Magic" and see what you can find out through there to try to avoid frormatting it and losing your data.

Hi there 1991Sam1991,

I would suggest to to try to recover your data with a partition recovery tool, as TStahler, already suggested or just some data recovery software.

What did you do when that happened? Seems like you setup a backup on it and maybe put an image on it. Where you playing around with backups?

Everyone thanks for the help,
All i had to do is to go to MMC (Microsoft Manage Console) and change my storage back to 1 tb.
I have no idea why is changed to 32gb.
