hey community,

I am planning to buy the new ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q monitor which I have been waiting forever for my local microcenter to have in stock

I have a question about how this monitor has 1.2 displayport. I have EVGA GTX 680(EVGA 04G-P4-2686-KR) and it does have displayport but it does not seem to be 1.2 version. Would I not get all the functionality of this monitor because I have lower version of the displayport? or am I still getting every function?

2 - A GeForce GTX 680 GPU must be paired with another GeForce GTX 680 GPU (graphics card manufacturer can be different). SLI requires sufficient system cooling and a compatible power supply. See the list of SLI-Certified components for more information.

3 - Support for HDMI including GPU accelerated Blu-ray 3D support (Blu-ray 3D playback requires the purchase of a compatible software player from CyberLink, ArcSoft, Corel, or Sonic), x.v.Color, HDMI Deep Color, and 7.1 digital surround sound will be added in a Release 260 driver. Upgrade your GPU to full 3D capability with NVIDIA 3DTV Play software, enabling 3D gaming, picture viewing and 3D web video streaming. See www.nvidia.co.uk/3dtv for more details.

4 - 3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI. 4096x2160 (including 3840x2160) at 60Hz supported over Displayport. Support for 4k tiled MST displays requires 326.19 driver or later.
