the title says everything i have an acer aspire 5755g and hdd caddy installed.
of course i have the os in the ssd .
I want to ask where is the ideal place to use an ssd in the hdd caddy or in the hdd slot ?
some people said that optical bay has not enough power for hhd and since ssd need less power is better to put them there
and some others that the ssd in optical bay is misachieving.

I would put SSD drive in normal hard drive slot.

Some laptops have reduced speed on the optical drive ssd port because it is not needed.

I have HDD in my optical bay slot on my ASUS and it works just fine.

in the hdd slot is preferred. many laptops will only support optical drives in the optical bay so if your hdd/ssd works there then consider yourself lucky :-)
