Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 ATX AMD
CPU cooler: asetek 550lc liquid cooler
CPU: amd fx 8320

I just tested my CPU fan speed with AI SUITE II, and it showed that my fan speed doesn't change from 1480 rpm when the fan speed is at 0% to 100%..this doesn't make sense, is there something wrong with my cooler? When i'm gaming it seems to keep the temperatures where they need to be, it idles around 25 celcius and the highest it's gotten is 60.6 celcius under planetside 2.

My fan speed setting is set to turbo so this shouldn't be right?

I should also mention that my mobo has two temperature readings according to 'open hardware monitor', it idles around 40 celcius and reaches up to 70 celcius.

Asus temp probes don't report what you think they are reporting, use HWiNFO64

Does your AISuite have FanXpert, if so use that to control fan speeds

What header on the MoBo is the fan plugged into ?

It only changes fan speeds after you run the test (auto tuning) ... run the test, it makes a curve, then you can adjust the curve.

Look at your fan, it has a wire coming out of it..... follow the wire, what is it plugged into ? Should be CPU , CHA_1 or or something like that

Not home at the moment so I don't know what it's plugged into.. also, I never noticed any fan auto-tuning feature.

It's plugged into CPU. Also, I only have access to fanxpert 1.

Found out I have a 3 pin cpu fan and a 3 pin chassis fan.
