I have always been curious on which one is truly better considering they are the same price. Since the R9-280X has one extra GB of Vram so does that aromatically make it a better GPU? In my openion i think the R9-280X could play games such as Skyrim with many mods such as Real Vision ENB and such.

They will trade blows depending on the game.

The 280X has more VRAM, but the 770 has lower power consumption and heat output.

I would go for the 770 myself, but the extra GB of VRAM with the 280X may help with certain games like Watch Dogs or a heavily modded Skyrim. It's really just personal preference.
