So I am upgrading my rig which currently is an AMD 8350 and 1 XFX R9-295x2 on an ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 with a Corsair HX 1050Wpsu.
Because I'm gaming on 4k I've bought a full tower case(from my current Mid tower), an EVGA Platinum rated 1600w psu and an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z motherboard ( the board mostly for dual x16 lanes and better OC stability for my 8350). After I have all this setup, in about a month, I plan on getting one 290x to crossfire with my 295x2. This mostly just to gain a decent framerate bump in 4k.
Is there anything I should know about this setup? Do I need some sort of bridge for the two cards, or as I read somewhere should the 3 way just be recognized in the slot?
I realize that this tri-fire setup wont double my performance but I'll be happy with 30-40% performance bump.
Thanks as always Gents.
