Hey guys, i need help. This problem occurs on my computer. What happens is lets say im playing a game or just surfing the web. In the middle of whatever i am doing, the LED lights on my keyboard and mouse will start turning off and on, flickering. I can hear the noise that says somethings connected over and over again and i dont know what it is, when this problem occurs, the only solution ive found is restarting my pc. But after about 5 or so minutes after restarting, the problem occurs again, please help! The weird thing is that my headset is find, the problem only occurs to the mouse and keyboard...thanks in advance!

I'm using the Logitech G500s mouse, CoolerMaster QuickFire Pro Mechanical Keyboard.

Im running windows 7 motherboard is a gigabyte ga-z68xp-ud3p

Solution
Hi there.

I think you may have experiencing mouse lockups or failures, because your computer is automatically turning off the power to a USB Root Hub. Try these steps to fix it:

1. Go to your Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > and click on the "Device Manager" button.

2. In the Device Manager window, find the item or items labeled "Universal Serial Bus controllers." Open it, and double-click the first item called "USB Root Hub."

3. In the USB Root Hub Properties dialog, click on the "Power Management" tab.

4. "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is checked by default. Uncheck this box, and click "OK."

Hope this helps.

Cheers! :)
