Hi wondered if anyone can help, I'm upgrading my mobo and cpu from:
i5 4570
Asus H81i Plus
To:
i5 4590K
Asus Maximus VII Ranger

Currently sing a 120GB Kingston SSD for OS and programmes/games, 2TB WD Green for storage (Which I don't think will be a problem)
Can I just re-build, boot from the ssd and windows will work it all out for me? (Obviously I'll need to address the mobo drivers)
Or can I repair windows rather than a clean installation?

Don't mind formatting the drive and starting a fresh but cant loose the games/programmes. How can I do this? Will create an image of the drive first either way to be safe :)

Thanks in advance for any help/advice
Regards
John

You can just use the old system and address, as you said, the drivers. And often that will be fine. But there is a chance that the system will be unstable. I would try it, and if it does not work - then just reinstall. The programs and games will then have to be freshly reinstalled tho, and I would not recommend just copy/paste them over from the image to the new system.
