It's time for me to build a new ultimate gaming rig. I haven't built a PC since 2011 and am not up to date with any post Sandy Bridge CPU specs, or Motherboards. I know for sure that I want the GTX980 GPU, but I have no Idea what CPU to get (Intel please), My current rig has an i52500 non k and tbh it still runs pretty damn well so maybe the new rig i should go with i7 2600k or something? i have no clue, but i want a K processor because i want very high OC potential. I basically need advice on Case (Full tower, Good Cooling), MotherBoard ( Full ATX preferrably, INTEL chip) CPU (INTEL, great stock Ghz, High OVerclock potential if needed), Storage (I have never messed around with SSD, opinions?) and anything else I have missed. Obviously PSU, Optical drive and RAM but that's usually a walk in the park to select, however im open to good advice. I don't need to buy OS, and i have a decent 1080P HD samsung monitor, but I would like a monitor to match with the 980 vsync abilities, so again I'm open to suggestion. I have around 1600 budget. I don't want to be that tool that says "I NEED TO PLAY ARMA3 AT MAX SPECS AND 60 FPS" but...I really would love that AND I need this rig to DOMINATE games at ultra specs for at least a few years to come, AND then still have the potential to overclock and catch up to the future gen systems. Please help a fellow builder out. I purchase through Newegg, and would like to get most of the parts around Black Friday or so. Thanks!
