I would like to know what is the best way to cool my i7 4770, I am not planing to overclocking it, i just want to play games. The temperature of the CPU is 30 and reach 50 degree Celsius during games, it is not that high but i want to best solution for better performance for the long term.
I thought about Hyper 212 EVO (air cooling), but i found out that water cooling is way more better, with extra few money i can get better cooling and better room management. So i was thinking to get the Corsair Hydro Series, but here i get confused, what should i get, the H110 280mm or the H90 140mm?? I want a long term solution. If you have better idea it would be my pleasure to hear it.

Thank you

Water cooling being way better is an overstatment. For your needs the 212 is more than enough. You can even overclock slightly with that cooler, I see you don't want to, I'm just saying it's that good. There is absolutely no need for you to spend $100 or more on an AIO. I know they look cool and the inside of the case looks tidy but most of the time for that little bit better cooling (which you don't need) you pay a lot more. They are also noisier.

well thats seems to be right, but the big concern that show up to me is the possible leak of the water cooling system. It seems by the reports that i read, that it happened to many people and it toasted there board and there GPU, although it is rare but this is a risque that i don't wanna take, so i will go with the air cooling. It looks like i cant get the Hyper 212 EVO for a reason but i can get the Thermaltake FrioOCK.
I need to know if it is a good product or i can get a better one of the same price or a little bit more and the most important thing is if it can fit to my Asus GRYPHON Z87

Thank you

your cpu running cooler will mean nothing to performance if your not overclocking. 50c is rather cold actually, i wish mine ran that cold, though im on sandy bridge with an overclock, but heat doesn't bother sandy bridge too much. anyways for normal heavy cpu tasks like during intense gaming im at around 68-70c max, stress testing right at 80c. my cpu is 3 years old and has always been overclocked. point is you dont need extra cooling, especially if your only at 50c.

if you want to feel secure over the stock intel cooler, just go get a cooler master tx3. its small and will definitely have better cooling performance than the stock intel cooler. i wouldn't recommend anything higher priced because its not going to dramatically drop temps, you would need to run prime95 for hours to notice it any improvement from a water cooling system. you cpu will last decades. i wouldn't worry about it too much.

and actually, if you did run prime or intel burn test, im willing to bet your 4770 would get much much hotter than 50c, though it still wouldn't be a big deal.
