Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me resolve an issue I have been having, I will try to explain what is happening to the best of my abilities.

Recently My Motherboard (Asus P5B deluxe) died because of a bad bios flash, so I recently picked up another one to replace it.

This one is the Asus P5Q SE. I tried to plug in my XFX 4870 512mb Graphics card and it gives me no display on the monitor, additionally the Speaker plugged in to the motherboard gives me 1 long beep and 3 short beeps, which according to the manual is VGA is not detected or not plugged in.

Now I have tested all the parts on my other machine, I tested the PSU, Graphics card, ram etc.all are working.
I even plugged in my GTX460 in the P5Q SE and i got a display.

So in short.

ASUS P5Q SE works with GTX 460
ASUS P5Q SE does not work with XFX ATI 4870
both PSU's from my machines work- tested
4870 Works on my Other motherboard Asus Z8K from which I removed my GTX460.

I have reset cmos, checked and unplugged and plugged various ram, no luck. I don't know why this card (4870) refuses to work with this board (P5Q SE)
I even flashed the Mobo Bios, the flash was successful but i still get no display with the 4870 plugged in.

I'm out of ideas and I'm stuck, please help,

Thanks
