So i was planning to spend small bucks on a good processor and a mobo. I selected pentium g3258 unlocked edition processor and a asus h81m-plus mobo to go with it (or any other similar low end starters mobo) So the big qustion is that will it be able to overclock it? The room temps here in Pakistan are averaging around 28-32 Celsius and i dont want it to overclock above 4GHz AT STOCK COOLING. Just the cooler that comes inside the box and NO OTHER SOURCE. Will the mobo do good?

Solution
You won't need any liquid cooler, A $20 CM TX3 (should be under 2-3k in Pak) will do the job for 4Ghz, even above that. The stock cooler is good only for stock speeds, maybe a couple 100MHz OCs, but af heatsinks are available for the sole job to cool down the chip, and you need one if you're to OC. CM Hyper EVO 212 for $30 (or around 3-4k) will enable you to go even further, about 4.3-4.4Ghz.

Also, i3 is better than Pentium at stock speeds (you can't OC i3 anyways). Look up some benchmarks, the Hyperthreads of i3 are really useful in gaming.
Yes the MoBo supports OCing (it has unlocked multiplier, no voltage control and other advanced OCing controls). And considering 80C should be your thermal limit, to be on safe side, I'd say a couple 100Mhz should be do-able with stock cooler, but 3.8-4Ghz is not happening, not without hot temps.

So you are saying that I WILL eventually have to go for liquid cooling and stuff if i want to take it anywhere near 4Ghz? earlier i was planning to go for an i3 4310 at stock speed but then value for price changed my mind.

Two things:
1) I looked at benchmarks of i3 vs g3258 and though i3 was great at certain jobs but OCing g3258 brings it neck and neck.
Dude you were the guy who helped me before too and now as well. Again you are awesome..

I just did my first build three weeks ago. Asus 81m-e mobo with g3258 stock cooler. I play wow on the machine on all settings maxed out averaging 40 frames running around in the world and 80 in instances. I use a 1080p 24" display and a sapphire Radeon r7 260x which I also OC a little bit too. So far great results with my machine. I've reached max 62C on my cpu playing for the past 3 weeks and max 58C on my gpu. Depending on computer use the pentium will work great at OC speeds. By the way this is the first time I've OC. Good luck.
