I need two separate gaming configurations for two budgets as detailed below. FYI, I live in India.

Approximate Purchase Date:

Within the month if possible. If much better hardware will be released within next few months, I can consider waiting.

Budget Range:

Need two system configurations at Rs. 75k (~$1200) and Rs. 1.5L (~$2500).

System Usage from Most to Least Important:

- Both systems are for gaming at ultra primarily. They should be able to support ultra for games upcoming in the next year or two at the minimum.
- The Rs. 1.5L/$2500 one should be viable for some video editing/streaming at good res if the fancy strikes.
- Some movies and TV Shows so colors and viewing angles should be good on monitor.

Are you buying a monitor:

Yes.
It should support hooking up gaming consoles to it as well. What will happen to the sound? Can I connect them separately to the speakers?
- 75k/$1200 budget: 21-22 inch 1080p IPS monitor.
- 1.5L/$2500 budget: at least 24 inch 1080p or higher res IPS monitor. If within budget, better to have one 1440p+ monitor or two 1080p monitors?

Parts to Upgrade:

Need spec for brand new PCs. Don't need mouse/keyboard.

Do you need to buy OS:

No. Already have a copy of Win 8.1.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:

No preference, just needs to be reliable and not overpriced. I've many family members in the US who will be visiting within next two months, so I can also ask them to bring any parts with them if needed. I understand that warranty will be an issue, but components like graphics card are far cheaper than in India.

Location: City, State/Region, Country - we need to know where these parts are being assembled and whether there are good store-only deals available

Bangalore, India.

Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)

Whatever has the best price/performance ratio.

Overclocking:

Maybe. I don't know how or the risks involved. I can keep the option open if you think I should but assume it's low priority.

SLI or Crossfire:

Maybe. if it fits the budgets and gives better performance then sure.

Your Monitor:

It should support hooking up gaming consoles to it as well. What will happen to the sound? Can I connect them separately to the speakers?
- 75k/$1200 budget: 21-22 inch 1080p IPS monitor.
- 1.5L/$2500 budget: at least 24 inch 1080p or higher res IPS monitor. If within budget, better to have one 1440p+ monitor or two 1080p monitors?

Additional Comments:

- 1TB HDD at least. Not fussed about SSD unless I can fit at least 256GB or more within my budget without compromising on gaming capability. Remember that some components far are more expensive where I live so if the SSD money is better spent on a graphics card, I'd prefer that.
- Please mention if I need extra cooling for either system.
- I need UPS as power cuts are very frequent and I'd like to shutdown the system safely when it happens. My house also has partial UPS backup so please just suggest a basic one for better protection.
- Suggest a budget 2.1 speakers for both systems. I'm not an audiophile, so just one with decent bass and no distortion. For gaming I'll use headset, this will only be for playing some music or watching movies. Should also be compatible with my gaming consoles for when I hook them up to my monitor.

Games that will be played: upcoming installments later this year and next year like Dragon Age, Assassin Creed, Witcher, Far Cry, Batman, Tomb Raider and possibly other AAA games.

For 75k/$1200 budget:
- GTX 970 for graphics card?
- At least 4GB RAM.

For 1.5L/$2500 budget:
- SLI/Crossfire two graphics card or single high end graphics card? GTX 980 or something else?
- 8GB RAM. Might expand in in year or two if really needed, so 1x8 or 2x4?

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:

Want something more powerful than a laptop or console.
How future proof would both systems be? Keep in mind I'll not upgrade or replace until games fall below medium setting, so based on that how many years?

Please help me in building a good PC. Thanks. :)

The prices of PC parts are totally different of India and USA a 1000$ build in USA will cost you easily more than 1500$ in India as for example the zotac gtx 970 which costs 329$ is USA the same thing costs 476$ in India so there is a big difference in price so if you buy the parts from USA and bring it back to India or ship it to India then it will cost you less but i am not sure about the duties and taxes you have to pay for it.

So decide what you will do then let me know from where you want the parts list that is from Indian website or USA website.

Ok lets say at most I'd only get the graphics card from abroad, but I'd prefer Indian website as it's less hassle. Just give me config assuming Indian prices, probably safer that way.

Thanks. Does it make more sense to go for 1x8 if I want to upgrade in year or so?

What about configuration for 75k budget?

No dual channel performs 20% faster than single 8 gb stick.

And for your 2nd build do you want the GPU from Indian website or USA website?

I'll get from US again.
Also only EVGA provides international warranty so if I get them from US, shouldn't I go with that instead of MSI?
for 1.5l, possible to include i7?

Evga GPU have some heating problems with the 900 series so its better to avoid them for the time being so go for either MSI twin frozer, Asus strikex .

And yes with 1.5 lac the i7 is easily possible but let me tell you that if the PC is just for gaming then i7 is a waste of money there the i5 and i7 will give you almost identical performance in games.
