I bought a pre-built system a couple of years ago and am now moving the components into a new case, I've never built a pc before so this is the first time I've done something like this.
I've looked at numerous tutorials, however upon removing the PSU there is a small wire that seems to be permanently attached to one of the PSU wires which connects to a connector for the panel with the power buttons, USB's etc. I cannot seem to remove this wire from either side and i'm quite confused on what to do.

My case is the corsair 500R and my PSU is the corsair GS600.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I'd assume that it was a ground wire of some sort. What is your original system? Others may then be able to give more specific advice.

One looks like molex and another looks like 24 pin connector.
