Hi guys,
I have been using speedtest to test my ping to make sure everything is up to scratch with my home network. I have a high end gaming Desktop with an AsRock Fatal1ty H87 performance motherboard with Intel Gigabit Ethernet. That usually sits around 300 - 400 ping on nearby Gmod servers and on Speetest.net. However my laptop, connected through WiFi sits at around 40-90 ping on the same Speedtest servers instead of the desktop's 300! I have no idea what this could be and I am tempted to put it down to my Desktop's hardware/software.
ANY IDEAS?
Cheers, Nic

What type of connection (wifi or ethernet) do you use for the desktop and what make/model of equipment provides that connection?

The desktop is using a wired cat6 connection through an "Intel Gigabit Ethernet" port and the laptop is a Dell XT3 connected through a wireless connection. It is a TPlink router

If you have the x-fast lan installed, remove it and see if that helps.
