I've had this problem for a short while now, but haven't found a working solution. My internet is working the way is should, as I've checked it on speedtest multiple times. The problem comes when I open my browser and try to browse the internet.

Pages used to quickly, now they can take anywhere between 10 seconds, and if they'd end up opening at all.

PLEASE HELP!!

1. All sites, or just particular ones? And if only certain sites, are they always having issues, or is it intermittent?

2. Have you cleared your history/cache?

3. Does it happen with all browsers, or just one? And which one: IE, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, etc.?

4. Have you verified that you have have the most recent versions of Flash and Java installed?

Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Try removing any browser add-ons from Add/Remove programs and browser settings

I am having problems with all websites, and yes, I have cleared my history and cache. And I have also tried various browsers, and get the same result across all. And yes, I have the latest version of flash nad java installed

I have not tried malwarebytes, but have run a full system scan with Norton360 and removed the tracking cookies and the one virus I had, but the problem persists. But will update you if malwarebytes finds and removes anything that results in my browsing returning to normal.

Its set to automatic, but I have tried changing it to googles DNS and even tried using the same value I get from my routers settings, but the problem persists.

I'm trying to, but the download won't even engage, so might take a while.

I ran the scan with malwarebytes anti-malware softeare and removed the malware, but the speed is still slow.

Boot in safe mode with networking. If you don't have the slowdown anymore, then there's probably a virus or malware on your PC.

If you still have the slowdown, and you have a laptop, take it somewhere you can use a different connection (i.e. coffee shop, library, friend's router, etc.); you can also test with a desktop, but it's going to be harder to move it (friend's house might be the best). If the slowdown goes away, then the problem is either your router/modem or your Internet provider.

Well I have done a whole lot of various scans, so it doesn't seem like I have malware or a virus, and I'm having the same problem with wifi, so my best guess it might be the IPS or router.

My DNS is set to automatic, but browsing speed is the same even though I change DNS settings.

Well I stay in SA, and for my area, the most I could get was a 4 meg line, because our cables only go that high for now. But its usually much faster with loading pages, usually almost instant.
