So is it ok to get a supernova 750w at Christmas ? Or is it so urgent? Or should I get a better one so I can use it for a bit longer?
You will be fine until the holiday season. Just don't try to do any crazy overclocking. I can honestly say that the others that have responded thus far are following the general misconception when it comes to PSUs in severely overestimating how much power a system actually uses.
not really trying to misconceive anything. Its not "Severely" either lol.
If you OC the FX and the 290X which is definitely needed since they are both Overclockable components (it kills the point if you don't overclock something you bought that is more expensive cause its overclockable).
It is also specially important to have a good PSU + extra power for AMD components, because they are just power hungry. The entire opposite of Nvidia and Intel. That is why AMD have recommendations for 290X, 2 x 290X and even stricter for 295X2 or you'll have a ticking fireworks inside your case.
But there is also the me who just want a bit more headroom, that is specially with AMD parts (I am looking at you 290X)
But I guess you have your own opinion and I have my own.
All I can just say is, I'd feel more comfortable with a 750W one.
also: Knock yourself out:

bit exaggerated from Sapphire yes.
Bottom line is, if the 290X gets alot of power, you gonna need more headroom for the card + the rest of the components, CPU, HDD, AiO cooler from that Kraken etc.
@finnigen
The supernova is alright athough a bit high on the price. Right now some XFX Pro/XXX or Pro core series have lower prices for 750W you can always check them.
As to when you will buy them, its your choice I guess, if its me Id definitely get a 750W and sell the old PSU.
