Does the Intel stock CPU cooler thermal compound need to cure?

I'm getting a Pentium G3258 CPU tomorrow which I obviously plan to overclock, but I'm wondering if I need to let the thermal paste that comes on the stock fan cure before testing its limits.

I was originally going to wipe it off and put some Arctic MX-4 which is what I usually like to use because it requires no curing, but this review says the Intel stuff actually works better:

Whoever wrote this review did something wrong.

Arctic Silver is better than Intel stock compound.
