I am trying to install win XP on Asus Z97-A but I get blue screen every time. I have changed Sata to IDE. Do anyone have any solutions? Just for info. I need to run win XP because some other hardware only can work with XP.

hmm, that is a very very old OS, so expect problems.

The only problem free advice I can give is install a modern OS like Linux Ubuntu or windows 7 or 8 and run windows XP in a virtual machine program.

if you need older programs that run in windows xp, try installing a trial of window 7 32 bit. Install it and when it ask for a key just click skip, this will give you 30 days, kinda like a trial period. if it works then buy a copy and then type in the key.

I moved around 20 desktops from xp to win7 some upgrading to 64 bit others still needing 32bit, one of the ladies still uses lotis 1-2-3 ver 2.2 that runs in dos mode. Could not get it to work with win7 64bit but worked fine with 32bit.
