I have upgraded my Dell Optiplex 990
Core i5 2400 up to 3.4Ghz
GTX 750 TI OC 1.3GHZ AND 6.3GHZ
8GB DDR3 1333MHZ CL9
WD HDD 7200RPM

Unfortunately my tv has 1366x768 and is 32 inches. But I sit 8 feet away and can't tell a difference. Although I play at 1080p (supersampling or less jagged edges).

So I did some tests and researches and figured that new consoles run games like Watch Dogs, Assassins Creed 4, Shadow of Mordor, dead rising 3 , Ryse son of Rome , The Evil Within at High preset of Pc.

So by running games at High preset /Fxaa there was no game in which next Gen consoles got more fps.

Watch dogs I got 1080p High preset 40+ fps.
Shadow of Mordor 1080p High preset 45+ fps.
Dead Rising 3 1080p High 30+ fps.
Ryse Son of Rome 1080p High 45fps.

In every game either the consoles had low fps or resolution or both.

I am surprised that this PC cost me the price of ps4 and is stronger.

So in future my PC will still be outperforming consoles or developers/Nvidia will not support my hardware.

The 750ti is maxwell, just like the 970/980. I don't see there being a 9xx series replacement, other than a rebadged card.

the pc will be keeping up with the consoles however you might need a gpu upgrade to handle more demanding titles that are yet to come since the games are going to be optimised for the games ..games dont have system requirements for consoles because they are optimised to run on the hardware in the console without lag but on pc youhave to have a certain hardware installed to get optimal speed and smoothness ... so you will be ok in terms of cpu and ram but i think the gtx 750 ti will soon be obsolete as the 900 series got released already

Hmm but games which are graphically heavey on consoles resolution/fps/settings are turned down because there is little optimization could do on that hardware. I heard new consoles have hardware like PC. Xbox has 8gb ddr3 and a slow octa core mobile CPU and gpu equallent to HD 7790 and ps4 equallant to HD 7850. Gtx 750 ti is equal to HD 7850.

yea but in terms of speed in gameplay the consoles speed will be constant at one set speed while pc will get the game with all the textures thrown at it and then the pc might start to struggle if its not strong enough.. the console are weaker than your system yes but the thing to remember is that with consoles you dont have to worry about requirements as all games play just fine on them but pc as big expectations especially for its new games so if its not met then everything will start lagging
