This might be a long post, so please bear with me. I am really looking for a solution to my problem from the experts here.

Hello

It all started after I installed an additional 4 GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM a few days back.

My PC config is as follows:-

Gigabyte - GA-78LMT-USB3
AMD - FX 6100
Seagate HDD (160 + 500GB)
Radeon 5450 1GB Graphics
Corsair Vengeance - 1333 Mhz - 8 GB (the 2 sticks have been placed at slots marked as 1 and 2 respectively)

Except for the 160 GB HDD, the rest of the components are fairly new, a little over 1 year tops.

After installing the RAM and dusting the internals of my cabinet, when I started the PC it ran fine for as long as I kept it on, about 6 hrs.

The problem started on the next day when I started my PC, it just failed to boot and went into startup repair. Windows couldn't detect anything and it rebooted fine and logged into windows.

Over the next few days, the same incident occurred one of two times and the other times, Windows would start just fine.

Today evening, when I started my PC, it went into startup repair again (didn't happen this morning though) and as usual didn't detect any error and rebooted. After the reboot, when Windows reached the logo screen, the PC suddenly restarted again and this time installed a bunch of updates that was already downloaded in the morning.

After the installation of Windows updates, it logged on fine (though sluggishly, probably because of my HDD) and I went on to check the logs under Event Viewer

After then I went to see the logs in Event Viewer and following are the errors that showed up under "System" since the time I started my PC this evening (listed in descending order)

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa80079f38f8, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\101514-94739-01.dmp. Report Id: 101514-94739-01.

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Mobile Partner. OUC service to connect.
The Mobile Partner. OUC service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Component: AMD Northbridge
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error
Processor ID: 0

The details view of this entry contains further information.

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Mobile Partner. OUC service to connect.

The Mobile Partner. OUC service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

Service 'WMPNetworkSvc' did not start correctly because CoCreateInstance(CLSID_UPnPDeviceFinder) encountered error '0x80070422'. Verify that the UPnPHost service is running and that the UPnPHost component of Windows is installed properly.

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80242016: Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2952664).

There are also a bunch of errors and warning under Application, one of the errors read:-

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

Does all this indicate a problem with a hardware or Windows? Since I see the mention of AMD and Processor, should I be worried that it's my processor that's taking the hit?

I ram MemTest for 2 passes and it didn't detect any problem with the RAMs. Should I run it for more passes?

Please advise

Tons of thanks in advance.
