about sata to ide converter

my mobo is asus H97M-E which has no ide port. i want to use an ide hdd here. i bought this

Solution
The power supply connector from your PSU is called a "4-pin Molex". It will be female, to mate with the male connector on the back edge of the HDD. It has 4 holes in a straight line, each about 1/16" diameter, surrounded by a plastic shield with two corners bevelled off so it only plugs in one way.

Check the instructions for the adapter, but I suspect you will have to set the jumpers on the HDD to make it a MASTER device for the IDE port that this adapter creates.
