I just got my new workstation card today, and am having a hard time determining the problems I've got. The PC hardware is as follows:

Biostar A780L3B motherboard
AMD Athlon II X3 455
8 GB DDR3
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

The first thing I did was download the drivers for the card and install. I then shut down the computer, installed the card, and booted up. The monitor acted like it wasn't plugged into anything, and would go black if I put it in the integrated graphics port. I took out the card, disabled the built-in video adapter via BIOS, and tried again. Same thing happened. I then tried several other configurations after resetting the BIOS and plugging back into the motherboard graphics. I finally ended up doing a system restore to take off the newly-installed drivers, and haven't gotten much further than that.

I also have these options available in the graphics controller portion of the BIOS:
GFX0-GPP-IGFX-PCI
GPP-GFX0-IGFX-PCI
PCI-GFX0-GPP-IGFX
IGFX-GFX0-GPP-PCI

I've gone through all of those with no success. Can anybody give me a tip?
