I purchased a Thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer CPU cooler but am having issues installing it, my motherboard is a MSI X99S GAMING 9 AC and has a LGA2011-3 socket. When trying to install the cooler I find that the screws that hold the pump in place over the CPU are not long enough to reach the threaded holes. The cooler comes with other longer screws for the different motherboard sockets but they are threaded with an M3 thread instead of what I assume is the required M4 thread.

I have looked for a suitable M4 threaded standoff or something equivalent to fill in the gap between the pump and the motherboard but cant seem to find any that are suitable can anyone advise me as to what I could use to fill in the gap or give any other suggestions?

Thermaltake seems to have the absolute worst documentation possible. Good luck contacting their customer support and asking how to install that cooler.

I recall several other people coming here over time having issues with the Thermaltake coolers. Try downloading their online manual for that cooler and you'll see what I mean. :(

I tried contacting them about a day before posting this but am still to receive a response even though they state they will "provide you a satisfactory response within 24 hours for all submissions".

Ive decided it would be easier for me to just buy a new cooler since this problem looks like it wont be resolved any time soon, I now know who to avoid if I am ever to choose a new CPU Cooler in the future, thanks for your response.
