I need a MB, CPU, and graphics card to play games. I have the other necessary parts. I probably have a budget of $600-700 USD. I'm willing to wait until Thanksgiving Sales to maximize what I can get. Just trying to get an idea of items to look for. It's been a really long time since I've kept up with this sort of stuff and could use some advice on what is current and in that range. If for some reason I can't use DDR3 RAM I'd need to buy that as well.

Thanks!

For basics..

Cpu: if just for gaming then Intel i5 or amd fx 8350
If not overclocking then get the non-k i5
You can save a lot of money by setting your priorities here.

Mobo: choose within the 100$ and above category

Gpu: use all remaining funds

Ram: ddr3 is still ok

EDIT: If you don't already have a CPU Cooler, get a CM 212 evo. (30 dollars) It'll only be necessary for the OC build though.

Someone asked for current items. I have an Intel i7 930, Asus P6T V2 Deluxe, and Nvidia 9800 GTX SLI. I know the video cards are out of date. How about the CPU and MB? The MB I have is on the skids I think. Is it possible I could just replace it and get a vid card?

I've got 8 GB RAM Win 7 a 1000 W PSU and a HUGE case. Several HD.
