Need to change powerbutton cord end for motherboard

Hello I have a pc i had given to me.The power cord button is a different end then the motherboard takes.I got some pictures and was going to change it over to the end that the pwoer button on my case uses but the wires are colored differently.

i think the connection my motherboard takes is called a panel not for sure maybe someone can make sense of it

If that connector is coming from the buttons on the front panel of the case and you're trying to fit it onto a new motherboard, you may have to disconnect the cables and rewire them. Could be hairy.

That is for the front pannel power connections.

It is quite possible that the wires are not in the correct spot. This is common when wiring a third party motherboard into a OEM (hp, dell, etc) case.

You will need to take a small precision screwdriver or pick and push in on the metal contact on the side and then you can pull the wire lead out and change it to a different pin hole on the connector.
