fx6300 heatsink amd+?

Can i use a fx6300 stock heat sink on a fx4100 chip? I'm going build my old system in give it to a friend I was just wording if it would work ?

I imagine you'd be able to, the stock coolers for the fx series will all conform to the same size standard as they all need to fit around the AM3+ socket. Make sure you remove any old thermal compound and replace it though.
