I am planning on building my gaming pc and this is what I have picked so far. I am confused about the motherboard, which one to buy. The budget is already a bit out of hand so if some parts that are better and cheaper than what I have, kindly let me know and suggest a motherboard too.

RAM: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006EWUO22/ref=ox_sc_a...

Someone suggested to get a SSD card aswell but the budget it pretty thin already,
Thankyou for the help in advance :)

Did you read this article from the front page of Tom's? You are looking at the Z97 express chipsets in the Intel section of the article.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-intel-amd-moth...

I have the 4790k and a Asus Z97-a motherboard and I'm very happy with it. Board is around $150.

To trim your build - do you need the 4790k or could you go with 4690k? The hyperthreading doesnt really do anything for games or programs that don't make use of them. Many games disable it so they can get a little more overclocking out of the chip, essentially making it an overclocked i5 4690k.

To add to your build - a good quality PSU, budget 75to100$
Don't forget a good quality CPU cooler if you plan on overclocking. budget 50-100$

Thank you. I like the idea of going with 4690k. For the Power supply, I am looking around for how much watt would I need. Never really build a pc before so still shy of some stuff.
I picked this cooler, take a look it : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZN2NH6/ref=ox_sc_a...

Also, I am not really sure about the case. I was looking at Full tower one's, just to be safe so everything fits.

This was the one I found which was kind of cool and cheap-ish from the other cases. I don't really care about the look that much, as long as it fits everything and look nice.

Cooler is pretty decent, it works as well as a decent air cooler at the very least. These haswells are pretty hot.

For a cheap case, I was impressed (and bought) a Corsair Carbide series 200r. Even has room on the top of the case for a h100 setup (barely!) You can fit a million fans in this thing. I fit 2 x r9 280 cards and the wiring is tidy. USB 3.0 front panel access as well, this case gets an A from me.

PSU - I like corsair and have a CM750 modular. Its keeping things going pretty well. Other brands: Sesonic,Antec,Enermax,XFX. Pay around $1 per 10watt (or more) or you are wasting your time and money. Definitely not the item to cheap out on.

Oh for Power needs - you will want at least 500watt but 650 is better. Also if you plan to SLI plan ahead and get a 750. (mostly because the bigger PSUs have all the cables you would want. I have used every single connector from my PSU)

Another vote for the Z97-A. Great motherboard.

Okay Thanks! I really want to go with 4700k but my budget won't let me, I was also thinking of going with 780 rather than 780 ti because I am going to be using single monitor and it would run basically all the new gen games for me, maybe I can upgrade it later on but it's pretty decent for now, right? All this is adding upto about $1250ish? I hope I can get something on sale during black Friday!
Thankyou again for your help. :)
