I've been looking at this: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct102464bf160b

My laptop (Click specs tab): Here

So according to the memory scetion, can I not use a 8gb stick or do I need 2x4gb. Also am I actually limited to only 1066mhz?? Is anything actually going to stop me form using 1600mhz?

memory slots expandable to 8 GB using SO-DIMM devices. Supports DDR3 800 or 1066 SDRAM modules in sizes of: 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB Dual Channel supported.
run the memory scanner from crucial it will tell you your max ram and if there an open slot. if your system scan says 8g and both slots are full then your already maxed out on your ram. per the laptop spec 1066 is the fastest ram the laptop supports.
