Hey, i was helping a friend switch the psu on a hp pavilion desktop with ipm87-mp mobo. He was switiching stock 350w psu with a corsair cx600 600w. Computer turns on but no picture... What do? Help... We tryed starting the comp with without the cpu atx pin connected, we forgot that... Could that have hurt it? He is pretty butt hurt about... Please help

since there is a PCI-E Slot i'm guessing he bought the 650 w psu to power the graphics card he installed. make sure the PSU graphics card power plug is plugged into the graphics card. if not unplug the psu, and then all the psu connectors hit the power button, then plug in all the psu connectors again then plug in the psu and try powering up again like ronintexas said.

oh also, if still no picture. remove the pci-e graphics card, boot back up. if it works reboot to the bios and turn off the onboard graphics in the bios and make sure the option to pci-e graphics is the default option if possible. i remember hp bios options can be like that and block the graphics card display. if still not that, check the monitor video cable connector at each end.
