Is the adapter correctly identified in device manager? And no issues (i.e. yellow triangle or red exclamation point)?

If no problems - this tutorial shows you how to connect: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/get-online...

Click start and search, type in "device manager" - you should see your network adapter there. If you see it - then follow the tutorial.

It is not there, I think I might have installed it wrong.

Try running the install again. If it doesn't work - you might need newer drivers off the internet (http://www.rosewill.com/products/2322/ProductDetail_Dow...)

I just doubled checked - your adapter probably comes with drivers for Windows up to 8....Windows 8.1 requires new drivers from the web.

http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

That will give you the program to open the zip file (7z it a compression format). You should download "7-Zip for 64-bit Windows x64 (Intel 64 or AMD64)"

If you open the archive, there is a folder "RNX-NP600PCE" that you click on. After that is opened, you will see a file "Generic_RT2870_Win8.1-Win8-Driveronly_D-3.2.12.0_RU-4.1.6.0_AU-4.1.3.0_03192014_1.5.17.0.3.exe" - you need to run that file.

Drivers are located here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

You will need to make sure that the BIOS has the PCI as your primary video, then install the drivers when you reboot (change the cable from onboard graphics to the R9).
