After downloading the latest nvidia driver for my gpu (630m for a laptop), some games have started to slow down. Usually my tf2 ran at 70fps+, now I can't seem to get over 30-40 in firefights. I haven't installed anything shady onto my computer.
The weird thing is, my payday 2 and most other games like GTA have been running faster. Help?
Things I have tried doing:
Re-installing tf2
Defragmenting hard drive
Re-installing old nvidia drivers
Scan for viruses
Turn off anti-virus

Just list any possible solution, thanks.

Some laptop manufacturers use customized drivers for their laptops..... I haven't run into one in about 2 yeas but worth checking.

Are you using GeForce Experience ? maybe it chnaged the settings.

Already tried using GeForce experience and have lowered all setting and still get same results. As far as I'm aware, my samsung laptop has no custom drivers.

Easy to check.... on samsung support site for your lappie. See if date oif their driver is different from nVidia's latest. Nvidia was cranking on suppliers for doing this so maybe they got them to stop.
