hey all,

I have the ASRock Fatal1ty 990FX Killer and I see it comes stock with the Realtek ALC1150 soundcard. I was wondering if this sound card was good enough or if its worth it to upgrade to a dedicated sound card.

lets say my max budget is 100 but if there is something that is great for lets say 60$ or so i'd prefer the cheaper.

what would you guys suggest? i'll mostly be gaming and some light music production

I'd stick with the onboard sound card. Most dedicated sounds cards are no better than onboard.

with onboard sound it depends if you can hear the changes. some people are fine with onboard sound. some people like asus or sound blaster audio cards. with the live card i have I could tell the difference in sound outputs.
