I am posting on Tom'sHardware looking for help in fixing my problem with BF4 performance. I have listed all the stuff I tried and all Information I currently have. Please do not post if you do not have anything constructive to add. This has been frustrating already, trolling is not gonna help, thanks.

I just added a 2nd 770 gtx, both running @ smooth 1111 Mhz base clock and 1163 Mhz boost, in sync. I have noticed massive performance boosts for max settings on games like Crysis 3 (100fps), FarCry 3 (100fps) and Middle Earth(120fps). Almost double fps for Crysis 3 for example, compared to having one 770. I also score like I should in all benchmark softwares.
However, I have barley noticed any fps increase in my BF4 experience, single player campaign and online. Fps ranges between 55 and 90 online, depending on whats going on, and around 60fps for Shanghai Mission on Campaign for example. I can get these numbers with one 770 installed.

- I am running max Ultra settings, that's with AA on max as well
- I saw on YouTube and other forum posts that 80-120 fps is very reasonable @ 1080p for Ultra settings with 770 Sli. I run @ max native resolution of 1680x1050, even more reason to get higher fps.
- I am running with Vsync OFF and 100% resolution scaling. I am also running on Full-screen mode within the game.
- I am reading the FPS with console command. I am aware of compatibility problems with monitoring software such as Msi afterburn and EVGA Percision X. So nothing is ran in background when trying to max fps.
- My Nvidia drivers are the latest and my SLI and 3D global settings are Nvidia default. After reading other threads, I have tried different combinations for the SLI and 3D settings to no effect.
- I am running @ max 75% CPU usage when I am maxing out on all games including BF4. SO IT IS NOT A CPU BOTTLENECK!
- GPUs run relatively cool, no higher that 78° when maxing out or benchmarking.
- CPU run very cool around 48° normal load and max load @ around 63°
- On average I am using 1.4 GB of GPU memory, it does max out the 2 GB when in extreme load, fps drops from 90 to 55 when the memory is maxed, which makes sense. This still doesn't explain the considerably low fps on normal load.
- I am not experiencing any shrugging or loss of packets or stuttering or frame drops or anything like that. The game runs great. I am only trying to optimize the experience by getting more fps like many out there with similar setups running at least 30-40% better.

I had a sort of similar problem a while back, I switched from full screen to border-less, and my fps went up. When I switched back to full it would decrease and I would have a little input lag. So I just i play on borderless now

Increase the resolution scale helps me with My 7970s most of the time they start out over 100 and gradually stick around 80-90 in most cases at 1440p No AA

And just now I realized, why do you have SLI 770s for a 1680x1050 monitor? That's like living in a shack and buying a Rolls-Royce

ter hours of trial and error and tons of of research....... I FOUND THE SOLUTION !!!!

It was as I thought an in game option/setting that was blocking the game from using the SLI set up, it's the only explanation since I have other games running pefectly. GPU clocks do not have to match, the driver takes care of that. It's not 32-64 bit issue either, I double check on that as well. It is definitely no a bottleneck in any of my hardware, such hardware doesn't even come close to being maxed, especially not with BF4 and at such resolution, not the CPU OR GPU are stressed or even hot as you will clearly notice.

After lots digging someone pointed out nvidiaInspector utility that allows you to change applications setting, apparently very important tool for anything that isn't supported by the developers, hence no preset profiles to load for certain setups such as SLI. I will attach a screen shot of the settings I changed and the a screen shot of my current SLI performance, it is much better than I hoped for !!!!

I run an average of 170 fps on Ultra, max everything including AA @ 100% scaling and full native resolution of 1680x1050, goes as high as 200 fps and never drops below a 100 even on the worse maps with the worse optimization ! That is round 80-90% performance increase after going SLI !

1 card > SLI debunked. However a little work was required.
