I am looking at the new I5-4690k Devil's Canyon CPU and am struggling with the rest of the main parts. Can i get some suggestions for a motherboard , 8GB Ram and GPU to pair with this CPU. My budget is just short of $600 USD for these parts (~ $240 for the CPU alone). I already have the case, HDD, PSU and all the other pieces picked out (they are the easy ones to figure out). I do plan on overclocking the CPU a little bit (4 Ghz or so which i read is easy to do).

I do have a couple MOBO requirements that seem important to me. I'd like the Z97 chipset, and at least 4x USB 3.0 onboard ports. Not the ones on the back of the box but places to plug in front case ports and other add-ons. I am also not going to use SLI/Crossfire so this is not a concern for me.

I have a SeaSonic 450W PSU picked out and can add watts if need be but i think it should be enough for the parts that fit the budget.

Thanks for any help sent my way.

Just to be clear, the $600 is only for the CPU, MOBO, Ram and GPU.
This build is reusing nothing so the rest of my budget is already used for the other pieces such as DVD drive and other things most people already have handy to reuse.

if your not going to over clock and have a local micro center the 4590 is 160.00. with your power supply take the wattage of the cpu and the gpu add it together then look at the wattage and amp rating of the power supply your looking at. make sure you have some room for safty. also ask yourself if you put in a faster gpu latter on will you need to replace the power supply. some time it better to buy an oversized unit now so you dont have to remove unit latter on, (look at the evga 600b and larger units).

thanks for the replies. took the psu advice and bumped it up to 600w. newegg had a nice combo deal i went for that included:
i5-4690k
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 mobo
and 8GB HyperX fury black ram for $425 bucks ($45 savings).

took the rest and got a sale price of $159 for a HIS IceQ X² Turbo Boost Clock H270XQMT2G2 Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16.

this filled my $600 budget but overall i'm happy with the pieces.

thanks again
