Okay, so I think my mobo got fried, power button doesnt work but when switching the psu switch on and off the only response I get is the Power SW Led flashing for a little bit and I came to my local MicroCenter and they told me I fried something related to the mobo if not the mobo, so I'm torn across a few options.

I'm not even sure if my cpu is okay so thats an issue.

- So I could jump to the red side and spend 200$ which i dont have yet on a crossfirex 4 ram slot 4 sata 2.0 2 sata 3.0 mobo and an 8320/8350

-assume my CPU is okay and just find a temporary motherboard just to get my pc going

-Assume my CPU is still okay and try to future proof it by getting a Crossfire/sata 3.0/4 dim slot/etc motherboard

For what its worth:

CPU:i5 3350p
GPU:Sapphire 7870 XT
Dead Mobo: AsRock B75m DGS r2.0

did anyone at micro center try another power supply. or take the 24 pin atx cable off the mb and then do a green wire test and see if the power supply was outputting the right voltages. I would see if your power supply under warranty or see if someone has a test unit. sounds like the unit you have lost a leg.

if you change motherboards to a different type than the exact current one, you have to buy a whole new version of windows if you are using W7. But there is a sort of trick if you have W7, you call them or something and bypass this, possibly.

W8, you can just reinstall it.
