I have a gigabyte f2a55m-s1 motherboard, 4gb ram, amd a4-4000 processor. Recently i have been experiencing a strange problem that sometimes, (not everytime) when i power on my pc, before the gigabyte logo is shown, i get a blank white screen which lasts about 2-3 seconds. After that, the computer functions normally. Can bad ram/hard disk or the PSU be the problem? My motherboard gives two beeps on power on. This happens between the two beeps. Any clue what's going on? Remind: this happens only a very few times. Once in three days or something like that...

The manual for you mobo only indicates a single beep means everything is ok. It doesn't list the error codes - since you get the white screen in between the two beeps, I would bet that the mobo is resetting.

Do you have any overclocking setup? If you do - try putting the "default settings" and testing that way.

It could be a problem with PSU voltages or the mobo. As the system "warms up" the problem may go away.

No i dont hav any overclocking setup. The mobo gave me two beeps since day one. Just now i resetted the bios config. I hav to wait fr at least 2 days for the problem to reappear, it it does. So, you sure its not the ram/hdd?

I would seriously doubt the HDD. It is a possibility it could be the RAM - but if it is a hardware issue - I would bet on the PSU first, then the mobo.

Hmm.. But in the bios setup/system info/ voltage settings-- all voltages are reported to be within limits.. Even when the white screen has occurred
