how do i add files to my ssd?

i've been wanting to make a few of my things run faster by having it run off my ssd and i just cant seem to find out how to do it...do i need to download a new os to it? because i dont have a program file (86) so im not sure if you just drag and drop in there or do something to put your items on there. i'd want to add photoshop/few games/ other things etc. any help please :/

What is the make/model of the SSD? The manufacturer may have sent a migration program - if you didn't get one - this is a free download: http://www.easeus.com/download/epmf-download.html

You can't just move the data - you need to migrate it updating system registries and this software does that for you.

It depends what you want to move.
If games are on steam then go into (these folders are off the top of my head i'll check it when I get home) Steam>SteamApps>common and copy the games you want to the new location, then delete the old files, go into steam and reinstall selecting the new location as the place to install. Steam will just check that all the files are there and nothing will be downloaded. The same process goes for Origin but the games are in Origin Games folder. The easiest way to move photoshop is going to be a fresh install on the new drive.

it is a samsungssd 840 evo

The 840 evo comes with migration software on a CD in the package.
