Sry for the late answer, I've been busy lately... If you want to play the latest games at 4k resolutions then you need some serious hardware. I'm talking about gtx 970, or even 980 is SLI config. Other than that you won't need anything to change so the cpu for example can be the same, but the gpu will need the extra memory from at least two cards.

Get 16 GB ram instead and get a better gpu like gtx 970 or 980, and as for video editing you would greatly benefit from an i7's hyperthreading so i would go for an i7 4790, maybe even a K model if you are into overclocking.

In addition to what I said earlier, I would swap one of the ssds out for an hdd to have more space available.
As for case I don't know your preferences but if I may recommend one the NZXT H440 is one of the best cases out there IMO. It has great build quality and nice looks for a reasonable price.

Yes it has to be. The majority of cases are ATX compatible so don't worry. In fact they like to highlight it with big letters nowadays if a case is only micro ATX compatible for example.

For a gtx 970 or 980 I would recommend Asus, Evga or Gigabyte. Peronally I really dig the Asus Strix because of it's silent mode where it doesn't even start the fans until a certain degree.

As for the case yeah, you will have no problems with the h440, but feel free to check out some of these manufacturers, they are all known for great build quality and usable features like great cable management.

Ripjaws are highly praised and they come at great prices too so its a good decision IMO.

Also great ram modules are the corsair vengeance series.

But the gpu and cpu are more important. There are no big differences between memory brands to be honest.

And 1600 Mhz is the sweet spot nowadays for speed. Also cl9 timing is great.

Few quick questions
Will this be able to handle games on ultra?
Are all the parts compatible?
I want a large monitor so should i go 4k tv? and if so what brand?
And finally what do you think the lifespan of this PC will be before i need to start replacing parts so i can keep running on ultra

Well, this config certainly handle games on max setting for a while, but maybe not at 4k. For that you might be better off with a 980 if you have the money.

There are already big 4k monitors on the market by Asus, Acer, Benq so you should be able to find a suitable one.

As for how long will this be on top, it's hard to say. I would assume 2-3 years minimum. But if you always want to play everything on ultra and on the highest resolutions then obviously you can't buy tech now that will last you 5 years.
