Hello,

So I am making a build in the BitFenix Prodigy, I want to know if it would be better to put x2 120mm SP fans/x1 120mm AF fan and x1 120mm SP fan in the front intake or one x1 140mm fan
I could also put in a bigger fan if that would be better.

I will have the HDD cage removed and have two HDDs in the bottom cage.

I'd prefer quietness but airflow is also important.

Thanks,
- UltraFireFX.

Hey,

General rule of thumb would be to have it intaking air from the front lower half, expelling air from the rear top. Whether you want to go with positive air pressure or negative depends on your environment. Generally negative air pressure gives better cooling but encourages more dust to get in. This means you will need air filters (a lot of cases include these now) and you will need to clean it ~6 months. Positive air pressure gives poorer cooling power but is better if you have a dusty environment or pets in your house.

Here's some guides you can have a read up on as well:

Edit: I forgot to say how to obtain negative and positive airpressure.

Negative: More fans expelling air than there are pulling air in
Positive: More fans pushing air in than expelling

I already knew about negative and possible pressure and the general flow of air, but what fan size would be better suited for the HDD bay?

I'm going to put one Corsair 120mm AF fan at the back and two of the same fan on the top.

It depends what sort of setup you are using really - a Prodigy is pretty flexible but due to its small size and the fact that fan demands are widely exaggerated, you can comfortably run this case with two decent fans - 1 on the front and 1 on the back.
If you are looking for decent cooling and lower noise I'd probably go for two 140mm fans as they shouldn't need too much fan control (if they have a low-noise adaptor that might suffice) to run at a comfortable volume.
I actually discussed in a decent amount of detail fan placement in a Prodigy in this thread which might be worth a read if you want some rationale behind my advice.
