Hi, Ive had my gaming PC maybe 7 weeks or so, its my firs one I built myself.
I've started having problems with the graphics on the screen in the last week
From distances in games there are inaccuracies such as slight warping and occasionally an object will be pixeled out.
It is really distressing as I have spent alot of money, can somone help me?
BTW my graphics card is Toxic R9 270x
Thankyou

Have you overclocked your card? If so, try resetting it to normal.

I have not overclocked, plus it worked fine at the start. I did have problems with my monitor displaying green flickering at the start but i found that was connection not being plugged in properly.

Just to mention there are no problems at all when im not playing games, such as streaming netflix etc it all perfect. Some games can be run with little or no problems and others the warping is more noticeable. Thanks for the time guys!

Ok well it sounds to me like your GPU is getting too hot, and throttling - this would show up in games since they push your GPU hard

What is your case cooling like? You may need to fit some more fans

I have just been using the fans i got in the pack, will this be causing long term damage? and what is throttling?

That does make sense as it only occurs in more high end games, for example when playing dishonored its fine but when I switch to Rome 2 or insurgency the problems start to occur

Throttling is when the GPU detects that it is getting too hot and slows itself down to cool off, in order to prevent any chance of damage occurring.

The typical solution is to improve the airflow in your case, the idea being to get hot air out as quickly as possible so the GPU cannot get too hot. I'm not sure what fans you have at the moment, but you want to have a rear exhaust fan (a case normally comes at least with this), then an intake fan at the front, then you can add further exhaust and intake fans, for example another intake at the front, another exhaust or two at the top, another intake in the side, etc

The key is to have more air being sucked into the case than blown out, building positive air pressure in the case, which helps the exhaust fans do their job.

You might also consider an aftermarket cooler for your CPU (I'm presuming you're using the stock fan that came with it) - as well as doing a better job fo cooling the CPU, a well chosen cooler will come with powerful fans that can be positioned to blow towards your exhaust fans, aiding overall airflow through the case, and also preventing hot air from cooling the CPU from contributing to heat in the case overall.

But sort your case fans first, this may be all that's needed
