Hello guys, i'm new to PC gaming and i need some help . I used to think that you can buy any computer from the market and upgrade it the way you want but i guess i was wrong .
I bought a HP pavilion 500-312ix core i5 4460 3.20 gigs Computer . currently im using a R7 250 2 GB graphics card and now i want to upgrade to a R9 280x or 290 but the problem is i don't know any of those fit in the computer or not . Also i would need a good PSU i guess so that will also require some space . my pc cabinet seems to be a mid tier cabinet . can you guys tell me whether a crosair 750 watt PSU would fit into this computer or not also are those graphic cards compatible with my pc . Appreciate all your help guys !

Very easy way to tell: If there is a simple cable running from your pc to the wall (usually with a three pin plug on the pc side) it is an internal PSU. If there is a box outside the pc, between the pc and the wall (like it is with most monitors) it is an external PSU. If there is no box, there can not be any external psu.

Even if part of the PSU is external, this might not be a problem if there is space in the case and the connectors HP uses are standard connectors (to the motherboard, which is probably built for HP). Can you take exact measurements of the space where the box in your pc is now? A normal ATX psu is 150mmx86mmx140mm, where the connectors are on the side that is 140mm long. So you need a space of 150mmx140mm, and at...

if it does not.........there is a wifi card and also a bluetooth card with which you can interchange the place so that the card can fit accordingly
