I currently have EVGA GTX 780Ti... I am planning to go for 4K monitor...
So I would like to know your opinions :)
Should I SLI the GTX 780Ti or should I get the GTX 980?

Shock me with your knowledge ;p

Thanks :)

Solution
The 780ti SLI will perform fine in 4K. But if you want most out of your money and those new AA features then my answer would be GTX 970(SLI if you can afford should cost around 700$-800$). They perform same as 780/780ti. And can handle 4K gaming. A single card would give around 30-40fps and SLI will give 50-70fps in most games. You can also go 3-way SLI with the 970 if you want more performance but that depends if your other pc parts can handle it.

I would actually wait to see what else Nvidia pulls out. There is still going to be the 960 and 980Ti/990 coming out.

Single GPU cards don't have the technology yet to run 4k with acceptable frame rates. Even when the 980 Ti comes, or whatever they are going to call the better card, you might still want to SLI for good performance.

Why spend 6-900 dollars on 970 SLI when you know a new single gpu card is coming out soon with great performance? Always choose the single gpu over SLI is performance is similar.

You can still sell your Ti for a pretty penny. I wouldn't recommend it singularly for 4k though. Most people think 30-40 fps is bad, because in the PC world it is not the norm. I would personally hate choppy frames at such a dense resolution...

That's why. Do you know exactly when that "soon" is coming? I'm talking about the current best solutions here. If OP can wait until that "soon" comes then why not. But until then GTX 970 is sweet spot.

Personally I would SLI the 780ti if you want to keep costs down.

If money isn't a factor, 2x 970 (or 980) would be my choice though. With 4k you can go very light on the AA so FPS will increase.

It is a 4GB card, which is good for 4k.

Well I can spend 700$ right now.. The question is what is AA in the new graphic cards ( Sorry I didn't do my research ) and isn't it better to have two 780 ti than one 980?

AA means anti aliasing. There have a new MFAA which works same as MSAA but puts much less stress on the GPU. Then there is DSR,and Dynamic 4K something.
