Hello guys, I'm looking for a new CPU and with that comes a new motherboard. Here is what I'm looking at:
Motherboard 1
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CPU 1
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Total of $320

Motherboard 2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
CPU 2
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Total of $365

So as you can see I want i7 performance really cheap. Not really concern with the motherboards since right now I have a single 6950 and DDR3 1333 2x 4GB. Will not overclock.
I would like to know if the Xeon would work with that motherboard and if you guys have any suggestion and/or other recommendations for similar setups.

i7 is better since it is hyperthreaded

4 cores x 2 threads* = 8 threads

more threads more performance

*2 threads because it is hyperthreaded

Thank you man! I'll go with the H97M Pro4. I bit more money but it's worth it.
