I just built my system and been able to get to UEFI bios, which does not see at all my Samsung xp941 256GB.

At this address

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket1150/Z97-WS/M...

ASUS shows that this mobo actually supports the xp941, but it also says "(UEFI RAID mode only)".

Can you please explain me which settings I need to change in the bios? Thanks

EDIT: I found online that I should change the PCI Express x4_3 Slot ( Black ) Bandwidth setting to "M.2 mode" inside the "on board devices configuration" setting. But that option is not available. I only see "X2" and "x4"

Not sure where exactly you would find this, but RAID is one of a trio of options that include (IDE, AHCI and RAID) as I/O controller mode options.

Further than that I suspect you're in relatively uncharted territory (I lust after an M.2 device) and you're probably best off contacting ASUS Tech support (which usually sucks) or checking for a BIOS update on their website that may add capability?

Thanks for your reply. I'll try this evening. I am confused because I associate the RAID concept with 2 or more drives while the only thing that I have is this M.2 SSD, and I'd like to boot from it like this guy thus in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7PEBscJbno.
