I've built out a computer and will need it to use the same monitor and keyboard as my current PC. My current PC and monitor are capable of DVI-D (single link). My new PC is DVD-I (dual link). I've done a little searching and its hard to find a KVM that will take mismatched/different DVI-D inputs. Anyone know of a manufacturer that offers extensive solutions for different inputs? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

*I will replace the monitor in a few months but I've emptied the allocated budget on the PC build at this time. I would consider a new monitor if could plug both PCs directly into the new monitor and forgo a KVM (except for mouse and keyboard)

You should be able to connect your DVI-D (single link) to a DVI-I (dual link) KVM without issue. Your concern should be whether the maximum resolution of the KVM matches your current and future monitor's resolution.
