Hi all i currently have windows 7 ult installed on my 260gb ssd i also have a 2TB hdd for downloads etc,the time has come where i am wanting to do a reinstall of windows to my ssd, using my hdd for downloads etc,i have read guides on what to do and im kinda confused on which is the correct way hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction. All i am using my ssd for is the OS and a couple of games this will be my first time doing a reinstall so didnt want to mess anything up.I have the windows disk and key, from what ive read people are saying i need to clean my ssd and hdd using a cmd prompt in windows before i install the disk and follow instructions others are saying just install the disk delete partitions and and put my windows on the ssd could somebody please help me out im new to this kind of thing help would be greatly appreciated on which is the correct way thanks.

1) remove your HDD (not your SSD)
2) run install disc. make sure you go for custom. then highlight the partition delete it and make a new one or just format it. then click next
that's it. reinstall the driver and so on.
oh remember to plug your HDD after the installation is completed.

yes. what data is in the HDD right now?? backup important data to the HDD..... turn off the pc then remove it then try re installing. i told you to remove it(HDD) for much easier time installing windows into the SSD. after windows complete then you installed the driver's turn off the pc then install the HDD again. so that you can access your data.

Yeah thats right im installing the OS on the ssd the other 2TB drive is just for other games etc just thought while i was totally wiping the ssd clean and installing OS fresh i would clean the 2TB hdd as well but i can leave it alone if its not going to cause me any problems.
